CIRCA 1928 PARKER DUOFOLD JR BLUE ON WHITE LAPIS FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1928 Flat Top Parker Junior Duofold Fountain Pen in Lapis with White on Blue coloring. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition.

NOTE: Parker Duofold Lapis Fountain Pens from this era we know that the Blue on Blue coloring was a first-year production run and that was in 1927. The White on Blue started in late 1927 and in all-out production in 1928. 

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old sac with a new sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Parker Clip, Cap Banding, and 14K Duofold NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, and Polished the barrel, blind cap, and cap to bring back the vibrancy of the fountain pen and to protect the material of the fountain pen. This Parker Duofold is the Junior Size and measures 4 5/8" capped and 5 3/4" posted.

The fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Cap has a Gold Filled Parker Clip with PAT SEPT 5 - 16 stamped and has been polished to shine bright with no wear. This Parker Sr. Duofold has a Single cap banding that displays rich gold-filled color with no wear. The barrel is stamped with, "GEO. S. PARKER DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN JANESVILLE, WIS LUCKY CURVE U.S.A. PAT 4-25-11". There are no monograms or personalizations on either the cap or barrel. The color of this Parker is good, but you will notice the barrel is darker than the cap.

This Junior Duofold has a button filling mechanism and I have tested it with water and fills as it should. Works fantastic and as designed.

The Parker Junior Duofold NIB is 14K. The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has an extra-fine point measuring roughly .42mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with an extra-fine to medium stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the extra-fine line measures at .41mm with very light pressure, and the medium line measures at .82mm with medium pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Blue Ink.

This is an Iconic vintage Parker Duofold Fountain Pen in the Junior size in hard-to-find Lapis. I would consider this Parker grade in Fine to Very Fine Condition. The Parker Junior Duofold is a beautiful pen and fits well in larger hands. It is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
