For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Sheaffer Targa Classic Fountain Pen & Ballpoint Pen Set, Model 1002, in the Matte Black finish with Chrome trim. This fountain pen has never been inked and always contained in the original box. The Ballpoint pen is in new, unused condition as well. I consider this pen set to be in New Old Stock, Mint Condition in original box with Sheaffer documentation, and Never Inked.

This fountain pen set was part of a purchase from a Stationary Store in Georgia where I acquired nearly 25 New Old Stock Fountain and Ballpoint Pens in the Targa design - this is just one of them.

These writing instruments are a 2nd Edition Sheaffer Targa Classic Fountain Pen with Ballpoint Pen and is model number 1002 with production beginning in 1989 till 1998. Again, this Sheaffer Targa Classic Fountain Pen is like new as it has never been inked. This Sheaffer Targa displays a matte black finish, with bright chrome trim. Fitted with a stainless steel nib. The cap lip is stamped, "SHEAFFER USA". The ballpoint pen is crafted in the same way as the fountain pen. This Sheaffer Targa Classic will use either an ink converter or ink cartridges. The Ink Converter is supplied with this fountain pen which works and I have tested with water.

The cap and barrel have no dents or wear to the finish. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing. This fountain pen and ballpoint pen have a sleek/stealth finish as they have never been inked and are in Mint, New Old Stock Condition.

This Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" inches capped and 5 3/4" posted. The diameter of the pen at the widest point is 11.26mm. The ballpoint pen measures 5 1/8" in length. The Sheaffer Targa Fountain Pen & Ballpoint Pen comes with the original box, fountain pen ink converter, one Sheaffer Ink cartridge, and Sheaffer documentation.

The Sheaffer Inlaid Nib is Stainless Steel and marked Sheaffer U.S.A. The pen is fitted with a medium point measuring .77mm when measuring with digital calipers. This Sheaffer Medium Nib shows no signs of ever being inked. I did not perform a writing sample only to keep this fountain pen in New Old Stock, Mint, Uninked condition for the new owner.

This Sheaffer Targa Classic Fountain Pen & Ballpoint Pen in this Matte Black pattern is very refined. I would consider this Sheaffer Targa Fountain Pen and Ballpoint Pen to be in Mint, Never Inked, New Old Stock Condition. A marvelous addition to your Sheaffer Targa writing arsenal collection.
