For your consideration, we are offering for sale this NEAR MINT Sheaffer White Dot Levenger Connaisseur Fountain Pen in the Mediterranean Blue color with 23K Gold Plated Trim and 14K Solid Gold Nib. This fountain pen is in Near Mint Condition with it being inked a handful of times and the condition shows it.
This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Levenger Sea Series 2 Fountain Pen from circa 1998. It is like new and only inked a few times. Cap and barrel are transparent Mediterranean Blue with 23K Gold plated trim. "SHEAFFERS LEVENGER USA" stamped on cap band. This Sheaffer White Dot Levenger Connaisseur Fountain Pen measures 5 5/8" capped and 6 1/2" posted.
The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing.
The nib is marked 14K Sheaffers 580. I have to point out that the Nib on this Sheaffer writes buttery smooth, I cannot emphasize this enough! This Nib has a broad point measuring .92mm when using digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a broad to triple broad stroke. In the writing sample provided, the broad stroke/line measures at .92mm (with light pressure) and the triple broad stroke/line measures at 1.94mm with medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was completed by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.
Comes with the ink converter seen in the images.
