This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together, and is now in superb writing condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have ultrasonically cleaned the feed and section. Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized sac. I hand-polished the gold-filled cap banding, clip, and 14K Parker nib. I cleaned, buffed, and polished the pencil, barrel, blind cap, and cap to bring back the vibrancy of the fountain pen and to protect the celluloid. This Parker Moderne Fountain Pen measures 4 1\/2\" capped and 5 1\/2\" posted. The pencil measures 4 5\/8\" inches in length and is working as it was originally intended to.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The celluloid is the real standout here - the bronze retains the \"shimmer\" in the celluloid and the color is very spectacular considering the age. The cap has a single thin cap band that shows some wear. The clips also are showing wear as well - the pencil shows more gold-filled wear than the fountain pen. The barrel is clearly stamped with, \"GEO. S. PARKER - PARKER - MADE IN USA\". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have added a new sac to this Parker fountain pen. This Parker has a Button Filler mechanism and has been tested with water and fills as it should. The filling unit operates as it was originally intended to. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This Parker NIB is 14K and stamped, \"PARKER PEN MADE IN U.S.A.\". This nib is flexible and fun to write with. The actual writing portion (iridium tip) of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .75mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a medium to triple broad stroke\/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures at .78mm, and the triple broad line measures at 1.93mm with medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese Parker writing instruments are often regarded as \"Thrift-time\" pens.
