I cleaned, buffed, polished and waxed the resin of the cap and barrel to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the material of the pen. This Pelikan measures 5\" inches capped and 5 7\/8\" inches posted. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The gold filled trim is in perfect condition with no wear or brassing. The cap banding is stamped with, \"Germany Pelikan\". \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The Pelikan NIB is designated Medium and writes with a medium stoke of roughly .78mm when measures with digital calipers. The NIB writes extremely smooth and certainly is a pleasure to handle. I have tested the fountain pen with water and ink.
