For your consideration, we are pleased to offer for sale this early 1980s Pilot Scholar Fountain Pen, presented in New Old Stock, Never Inked condition complete with its original hang-tag and unused squeeze-style ink converter.

Produced during Pilot’s Korean manufacturing period, the Scholar series offered dependable quality, clean styling, and excellent everyday usability at an affordable price point. This example is crafted in glossy black resin accented by bright gold-plated trim and fitted with the original gold-plated steel Fine nib.

The fountain pen remains in Mint condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The gold-plated trim is clean and bright with no wear present, while the friction-fit cap secures tightly to the barrel. The pen measures approximately 5 3/4 inches capped, 6 1/4 inches posted, and weighs .68 ounces, giving it a comfortable and balanced feel in hand.

Fitted with the original Pilot Fine nib marked “PILOT MADE IN KOREA SUPER QUALITY,” the point measures approximately .55mm when tested with digital calipers, delivering a precise Fine writing line. The nib has never been inked or dipped.

Included is the original CON-20 squeeze converter, a slightly larger variant often found on Korean-made Pilot models. The converter has been tested with water and functions properly.

An increasingly difficult-to-find New Old Stock Pilot from the early 1980s—offering vintage Pilot styling, dependable writing performance, and outstanding collector-grade preservation.
