FIRST YEAR 2002 PELIKAN M200 BLUE TRANSPARENT FOUNTAIN PEN NEW IN BOX NEVER INKED DISCONTINUED
For your consideration, we are pleased to offer for sale this 1st Year 2002 Pelikan M200 Blue Transparent Fountain Pen, fitted with a gold-plated steel Medium nib. This outstanding example remains in Mint, Never Inked condition and is complete with its original Pelikan presentation box, hang tag, and Pelikan Literature.
This model was produced from 2002 through 2006 before being discontinued. We can confidently date this example by the “Two-Chick” logo on the cap top. That mark was used in 2002, and by 2003 Pelikan transitioned to the “One-Chick” logo. Based on that detail, this is a first-year M200 Blue Transparent fountain pen.
The condition is truly exceptional. There are no cracks, nicks, dents, brassing, or signs of wear to the cap or barrel. The cap band is crisply stamped “PELIKAN GERMANY,” and the cap threads securely and precisely onto the barrel. The original hang tag remains attached to the clip, and there are no engravings or personalizations. The pen measures approximately 4 7/8" inches capped, 5 3/4" inches posted, weighing just 0.48 ounces—light in hand, yet beautifully balanced in typical M200 fashion.
The piston-filling mechanism has been tested with water only and operates flawlessly, smooth and precise as one would expect from Pelikan’s renowned piston system—long considered the benchmark for reliability and effortless function.
The gold-plated steel nib is marked Medium and measures approximately 0.82mm when gauged with digital calipers. Importantly, it has never been inked, preserving its pristine, factory-fresh condition for the next steward. Pelikan nibs from this era are celebrated for their smoothness and consistent performance, making an uninked example such as this especially appealing.
Accompanying the pen is the complete original Pelikan presentation box, also in very fine condition.
Highly sought after by Pelikan enthusiasts and collectors alike, this Mint, never-inked First Year 2002 Blue Transparent M200 represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the more elusive modern Pelikan fountain pens that have been discontinued.
