The mechanism works to dispense the lead every time and is in working condition. There is a lead in the pencil and still has a gently used eraser. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This Sheaffer Imperial Mechanical Pencil uses a lead that should be a .9mm type lead. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e There are no personalizations or monograms on this pencil.
