C1948 ESTERBROOK TRANSITIONAL J BLUE PEARL 2668 NIB FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1948 Esterbrook Transitional J Model Fountain Pen in Blue Pearl Plastic. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition.

The nib is a 2668 which is known to be a "general writing" nib. The line variation ranges from a fine line (.57mm) to a medium line (.65mm). The nib writes very smoothly.

A new rubber sac was installed. The cap is always securing to the barrel. No personalizations or monograms. The imprint is clean - it reads, "ESTERBROOK MADE IN USA".

Fully restored with excellent function. The Transitional "J" Model is the largest size in this series of Esterbrooks and has a Flat end on the barrel. These were made from 1944 to 1948. 

Measures: 5" capped and 6 1/8" posted.
