For your consideration, we are pleased to offer for sale this circa 2001 New Old Stock rOtring Core Fountain Pen in the Lysium finish (Seafoam Blue and Matte Silver). These examples have never been inked and remain in Mint condition, representing one of the more distinctive and boldly designed modern fountain pens produced by rOtring.

The Core series is well known for its industrial, forward-thinking design and precision engineering, reflecting rOtring’s long heritage in technical drafting instruments. The Lysium model features a striking combination of seafoam blue and matte silver, accented by subtle red lettering. The section provides a comfortable and secure hold, while the robust cap construction reinforces the pen’s utilitarian and durable character.

One of the Core’s most innovative features is its twist-actuated internal lift mechanism, which slightly raises the cartridge or converter to help access the final usable drops of ink—an uncommon but practical detail that highlights the thoughtful engineering behind the design.
