This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Chevron Cap Band and 14K NIB. Buffed and Polished the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis fountain pen cap and barrel are is magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks or repairs. The cap has the Blue Diamond split arrow gold filled clip with no brassing. The Chevron Cap band displays a wonderful gold filled color with no brassing. The top jewel is black and looks great. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, \"Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 3 in the third quarter\". The transparency of the barrel is amazing, just very clear throughout. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms on the barrel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 2 presses and it will fill roughly 2\/3s full.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Parker Vacumatic measures 4 5\/8\" in length capped and 5 1\/2\" posted. The 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .63mm, measured with digital calipers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen writing a sample the NIB writes with a medium line and very smoothly. The writing sample provided, the thinnest line measures at .60mm and the broad line measured with digital calipers is 1.01mm with medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Black Ink.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAny specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap. The celluloid and gold firm trim now shine, like new.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a beautiful vintage 3rd Generation Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Emerald Pearl Celluloid that is in in Near Mint Condition.
