Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized sac. I have hand polished the clip, cap banding, and 14K Parker NIB. I cleaned, buffed, and polished the barrel, blind cap, and cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eof the fountain pen. This Parker Challenger is the Larger Size and measures 5 1\/8\" capped and 6\" posted. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Parker stamped Chrome Clip and has been polished to shine brightly and shows no wear. The cap banding displays a great chrome color with only a hint of wear. The barrel has a near-perfect imprint that reads, \"PARKER CHALLENGER MADE IN U.S.A. BY PARKER PEN CO. JANESVILLE, WIS with a date code of 18 for 1938 in the First Quarter\". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis Royal Challenger is a Button Filler and has been tested with water and fills as it should. The filling unit operates as it was originally intended with a new sac. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis Challenger comes with the proper Parker Challenger 14K medium nib. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .66mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a fine to broad stroke\/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures .48mm and will flex to a broad line measuring 1.03mm with medium to firm pressure when I measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis Parker Challenger has been sparingly used and the condition shows it. I consider this Parker grade in Very Fine to Excellent Condition.
