This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized silicone sac as to preserve the color of the celluloid. Hand polished the Gold Filled Cap Banding, and 14K Warranted NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen and to protect the Celluloid. This Gold Bond Stonite measures 4 5\/8\" capped and 6\" posted. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap banding displays rich gold filled color with no brassing. The barrel is stamped clearly with, \"GOLD BOND STONITE\". There is a personalization on the barrel that reads, \"MRS. CJ BAKER\". The Jade color is vibrant and gorgeous - the cap might be a tad lighter than the barrel but overall great color. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This Gold Bond has a lever filling mechanism and I have tested with water and fills as it should. Works as it is designed to. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The Warranted NIB is 14K and writes with a wet, smooth stroke. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .52mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a fine to broad stroke\/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .54mm and the broad line measures at .96mm with medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This vintage Gold Bond Stonite Fountain Pen is exceptional in the condition and color. I would consider this Gold Bond to grade in Very Fine to Excellent. It is certainly collector grade and writes so smooth.
